Sheriff's Department Arrests

Sheriff Department Arrests March 6, 2024 Evangeline Parish Sheriff Charles Guillory reported to KVPI News that a Mamou man was stopped for a traffic violation on Tuesday on Veterans Memorial Highway. Following a search of his vehicle, the search yielded 67 grams of marijuana. This led to the arrest of the driver: Collins Lee King age 35 of Mamou. Traffic citations were also issued for the equipment violation. In another case, last Sunday March 3 at 1;00pm, deputies with the patrol division conducted a traffic stop on Old Highway 13 for a violation. Following a search of the vehicle, officers discovered 6.6 grams of Methamphetamine, 5 grams of Marijuana, 3.5 Hydrocodone pills and 2 Dextroamphetamine pills. This led to the arrest of the passenger: Michelle Lynn McDaniel age 55 of Mamou. The driver, Tellisa Sheree McCauley age 48 of Mamou was released on traffic citations.
